ACCOUNTANT

Summary of the role

This job entails providing a comprehensive outsourced ‘back office’ Finance & Administration service to corporate clients who are drawn from both the UK and US– including on occasions the set-up, management and consolidation of their continental European operations. Many of the clients will be subsidiaries of overseas companies, giving exposure to international aspects of the job.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and production of management accounts
  2. Fully comprehensive client relationship building and maintaining
  3. Answering client queries and advising on specific accounting matters
  4. Raising client billing
  5. Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  6. Compiling draft statutory accounts
  7. Production and advice on monthly cash flows

Experience and Qualifications

  • Recently qualified or finalist
  • Familiar with UK reporting requirements and the business tax environment
  • IT literate with strong excel skills
  • Experience of working with a number of accounting packages
  • Experience of Sage Line 50 preferable but not essential
  • Experience of working in a multi-company, or multi-client environment

Employment Terms

  • Salary: Neg
  • Hours: 37.5/week, Mon - Fri
  • Holidays: 24 days/annum
  • Pension: 3% employer contribution
  • Life Assurance: 4x
